About the position

The Lead Field HR Business Partner at UL Solutions is responsible for executing enterprise people strategies and driving local adoption of HR initiatives. This role involves collaborating with local leaders to enhance employee engagement, retention, and the overall employee experience while providing operational support for business changes. The position requires a strong understanding of local employment laws and trends to advise on talent attraction and retention strategies, as well as executing key HR processes and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Execute enterprise people strategies and drive local adoption of initiatives.
  • Partner with local leaders to provide operational support for business change.
  • Collaborate with leaders to drive One UL Culture, Diversity & Inclusion, employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve the employee experience.
  • Coach and guide local and regional leaders on complex employee relations matters.
  • Identify market conditions and trends impacting talent attraction and retention.
  • Advise global HR partners on people and business implications based on local trends.
  • Execute people processes such as onboarding, salary planning, and performance management.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and ensure local adherence.
  • Identify opportunities for developing new or revised HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the development and execution of key HR projects.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Ten years of professional level Human Resources experience.
  • Previous experience as a HR Business Partner.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative client service skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of labor law and market knowledge regarding employee relations, recruitment, compensation, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with commonly used business and HR software applications.
  • Technical HR expertise in Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Talent Management, and organizational change.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for decision-making.
  • Strong project management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing a sizable internal customer base.
  • Ability to work hybrid (on-site 3 days/week, work-from-home 2 days/week).
