About the position

The Lead Facilities Electrical Specialist at SCA Pharma is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities at the Connecticut facility. This role combines hands-on electrical work with management responsibilities, ensuring that the facility operates efficiently and complies with cGMP standards. The specialist will lead a maintenance team, manage the CMMS system, and address any electrical and mechanical safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the facility and associated pharmaceutical equipment, including cleanrooms and electrical systems.
• Lead the facility maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work requests and proper documentation in CMMS.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for facility maintenance work.
• Manage the CMMS system for preventative maintenance, work orders, and inventory control.
• Oversee the preventative maintenance program to ensure proper operation and repair of building systems.
• Identify and correct building, electrical, and mechanical safety issues to ensure cGMP compliance.
• Test and troubleshoot systems related to equipment, including HVAC and automated production equipment.
• Perform general electrical repairs, modifications, and installations up to 3 phase 480V.

Requirements

• 6+ years of electrical installation/repair experience.
• 4+ years of experience with a facilities maintenance program, specifically in asset and spare part management.
• Licensed Electrician or similar experience/licensing.
• Experience with eMaint or similar CMMS and digital spare part inventory management.
• Experience with automated equipment (PLC's, robots, packaging equipment).

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to perform any related maintenance function at all levels of skill and importance.
