About the position
The Lead Esthetician at Hand & Stone is responsible for overseeing the Esthetics Department, achieving sales goals, and training a team of Estheticians. This role combines hands-on service delivery with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality customer experiences and effective team performance in a dynamic spa environment.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing the Esthetics Department
- Achieving all Esthetics and Retail Sales Goals as outlined by Spa Management
- Training, monitoring, and coaching performance of Estheticians and Sales Associates
- Monitoring professional and retail product inventory and supply usage
- Providing excellent service to members and guests by performing top-level services
- Participating in offered training programs, conferences, and other opportunities for professional growth
- Assisting in planning events
- Meeting monthly with the Spa Manager and/or Owner
- Meeting biweekly with the Esthetics staff
- Sending monthly email correspondence to the esthetics team to review prior month's performance highlights and action plan for the month ahead
- Conducting quarterly Licensed Esthetician evaluations
Requirements
- Strong retail and sales upgrade record
- Experienced Esthetician with previous experience performing facials, microdermabrasion, waxing, and other skin care services
- Must carry liability insurance
- Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and the Dermalogica product line as it relates to Estheticians
- Previous training experience preferred

- Experience with advanced skin care techniques
- Familiarity with membership-based service models
