About the position

The Lead Deli Clerk is responsible for overseeing the Deli Department in the absence of the Department Manager. This role focuses on ensuring that the Kitchen & Deli meet company merchandising standards, are fully stocked, and provide exceptional guest service. The Lead Deli Clerk will lead the Deli staff, maintain product quality and freshness, engage with guests, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Deli Department in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Ensure the Kitchen & Deli meet company merchandising standards and are fully stocked.
• Provide exceptional guest service and leadership to the Deli staff.
• Maintain superior quality and freshness of salad and sliced meat products.
• Educate and assist guests at the kitchen and deli counter.
• Create a fun and friendly atmosphere to attract guests.
• Engage guests through product samples and suggestive selling.
• Understand and comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
