About The Position

This position is responsible for producing parts by setting up and operating a laser. The role requires maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. The shift is a weekend night shift, Friday through Sunday, from 6 pm to 6 am. Employees work 36 hours but are paid for 40.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Detail oriented
Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated.
Basic math and trigonometry skills
Able to read prints and tape measures and use calipers.
AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment.
Minimum one (1) year of experience

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience preferred.
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Plan, understand, and interpret drawings, specifications, material and operating instructions before and while running operations and equipment.
Produce and inspect parts against drawings specifications within time allotted; ensuring product meets specified quality standards.
Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and fixtures/gauges to check work to drawings.
Verify initial product quality checks and complete all laser processing operations.
Update related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasks.
Ability to stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks.
Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects.
Demonstrate safe work habits.
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Maintain current, overall, and job specific training and requirements.
Assist in other departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
