About the position

As a Field Service Technician at MC Machinery Systems, Inc., you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex technical issues on Mitsubishi Machining products. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, as well as excellent customer communication skills. The position involves significant travel to customer locations, primarily within the US, to provide on-site services and support.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair.
• Examine machines mechanically and electrically to perform repairs by dismantling machines and rebuilding as needed.
• Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
• Effectively interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
• Document in detail product problems and resolutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates or technical degree preferred.
• Experience with electrical measurement and inspection techniques (voltmeter, oscilloscope, and other measuring equipment).
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems (ball screws, bearings, gearing, and various way systems).
• Experience in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques (indicators, micrometers, gage blocks, and optical comparator).
• Working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to use basic hand-tools.
• Ability to operate a computer with Windows operating systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with laser interferometer and ball bar.
