About the position
The Evening Part-Time Esthetics Lab Assistant at Lanier Technical College is responsible for supporting the Esthetics Program by assisting faculty members and supervising students in laboratory settings. This role involves routine laboratory work, inventory management, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures, all while providing a supportive learning environment for students. The position is temporary and part-time, with a focus on maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the spa facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist faculty members with classroom instruction and exams.
- Perform routine standardized laboratory work under supervision.
- Maintain inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
- Supervise students assigned to laboratories and assist with their training.
- Manage cleanliness and sanitation of the spa and its equipment.
- Assist with laundry and disinfection of supplies and implements.
- Check emails daily and respond to administrative training in a timely manner.
- Participate in technical training and assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Esthetics license from the state of Georgia or current cosmetology license from the state of Georgia.
