About the position
The Adjunct Spanish Instructor position at Lanier Technical College is a part-time, temporary role focused on teaching Spanish courses across various campus locations. The instructor will be responsible for preparing and delivering course content, evaluating student progress, and maintaining academic records. This role requires a Master's degree in Spanish and is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and capable of engaging adult learners in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and teach Spanish classes as assigned.
- Provide professional instruction based on the approved course syllabus.
- Ensure that desired course outcomes meet the stated objectives.
- Prepare curriculum and syllabus for coursework taught.
- Evaluate students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
- Administer and grade class examinations.
- Maintain records of student grades.
- Attend in-service training, workshops, and seminars as needed.
- Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training areas.
- Meet all required deadlines assigned by Supervisor.
- Complete all required training assignments.
- Meet with students, staff members, and supervisors as needed.
Requirements
- A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with 18 graduate semester hours in Spanish.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
- Experience with online teaching platforms.
