About the position
This is an entry-level position for landscape maintenance; daily tasks are mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding properties. The role requires a general knowledge of landscape maintenance and the ability to operate various hand and power equipment used in basic landscape maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain customer's landscapes including lawns and beds per foreman's/leads guidance
- Gather and remove litter
- Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning sheers, loppers, hedge trimmers, and other landscape maintenance equipment as needed
- Perform work requiring the use of hand tools, power tools, spray packs, and mowing equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Ensure company equipment is operated and maintained properly, including but not limited to initiating any action needed to remedy malfunctioning or unsafe equipment or report any issues to the foreman
- Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears or pruners
- General housekeeping of truck and trailer
- Adhere to uniform and PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) guidelines
- Understand and comply with all company policies
- Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shift
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 year of landscape maintenance experience; preferred
- A valid driver license is required for employment
- At least 18 years old
- No criminal record
