Responsibilities

  • Site analysis and design concept development for projects and master plans, including digital and hand-drawn plans, sections, elevations and perspectives
  • Design development and preparation of contract documents using CAD
  • Production of project renderings and report graphics
  • Participate in ongoing skill development activities

Requirements

  • Excellent design, graphic, computer, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing production and design workflow for small teams on a wide variety of projects
  • Passionate about landscape architectural design and urban development
  • Excellent creative thinking, design ability, verbal, and graphic communication skills
  • Ability to integrate sustainable thinking into high level design in urban areas as well as green space
  • Familiarity with contemporary landscape architectural projects globally and knowledge of latest philosophical thinking and research in the field
  • Knowledge of construction document preparation, and familiarity with plant materials suited to Texas
  • Proficient hand drafting and sketching abilities resulting in strong conceptual designs
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Land-FX, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with basic GIS
  • Superior research, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and passionate about design
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Comfortable working within a team environment, as well as being productive independently with limited supervision
