About the position
The Landscape Crew Leader is a front-line supervisory role responsible for overseeing a crew of up to five technicians in landscape maintenance and operations. This position ensures that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while managing client relationships and crew performance. The Crew Leader is expected to work alongside their team, maintain equipment, and uphold company safety and image standards.
Responsibilities
- Professionally represent East Coast Facilities, Inc. and respond to client needs.
- Keep the Project Manager informed of client concerns and communication on the job site.
- Ensure the crew meets projected man and material budgets on assigned work tickets.
- Prepare and secure all materials, tools, and equipment for the day's work schedule.
- Assign tasks to crew members and follow up to ensure proper completion.
- Ensure crew members report to work on time and adhere to company rules and procedures.
- Train crew members on safety policies and job tasks.
- Evaluate crew performance and assist in performance reviews.
- Maintain safe working conditions and promote safety in the field.
- Ensure all assigned equipment and tools are maintained in proper working order.
Requirements
- Mid-level CDL Driver's License
- Spanish writing skills
- Certified Arborist
- Pesticide Applicator's License
- Ability to effectively communicate in English and/or Spanish
- Ability to operate various types of equipment and machinery associated with landscape management
- Ability to pass an illicit drug test and criminal background check
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
