About the position

Fishbeck is seeking a creative and talented Landscape Architect to join their Land Development Department in Michigan. The role involves assisting with landscape design and planning across various departments, including Architectural, Brownfield Remediation, and Transportation. The Landscape Architect will work in a multi-disciplinary environment, contributing to projects from conception to construction.

Responsibilities

• Produce conceptual and illustrative drawings.
• Site planning and master planning.
• Landscape Architecture including Hardscape and Softscape designs, planting selection, and irrigation coordination.
• Project representation at municipality levels.
• Research, writing, and interpreting zoning ordinances.
• Interact daily with multi-disciplinary and multi-office teams within Fishbeck, providing insight and guidance to engineers for land development and site designs.
• Concept plans for Brownfield Redevelopment projects and grant applications.
• Landscape plans for MDOT pre-qualification project assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience in landscape architecture.
• Licensed Landscape Architect.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Higher Education Campuses.
• Knowledge of civil/structural engineering, water resources, and ecosystem restoration.
• Proficient in 2D/3D Graphic Rendering Software and AutoCAD.
• Experience in marketing and sales of new clients, coordination and production of proposals, and participation in presentations.
• Experience in business development and fostering client relationships.
