About the position

The Land Development Manager at Lennar is responsible for overseeing the Division's land development program, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of new projects. This role involves managing various activities such as roadway construction, utility installation, and compliance with environmental and engineering standards. The position emphasizes cost management, adherence to schedules, and collaboration with construction teams to deliver ready-to-build home sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Division's land development program, including roadway construction and utility installation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of new projects through construction schedules and compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with Area Construction Managers and Director of Construction to deliver completed home sites.
  • Assist in creating development budgets and value-engineering project designs during the entitlement process.
  • Develop relationships with jurisdictional entities while maintaining land use and development rights.
  • Oversee projects from permit approvals through construction and community turnover.
  • Manage field operations related to land development, including erosion control and landscaping.
  • Conduct HOA management, including budget analysis and improvements to common spaces.
  • Responsible for bond maintenance and retrieval of guarantees used by the division.
  • Manage SWPPP compliance and review project development budgets with the Director of Development.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a similar program preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in land development.
  • Computer literacy, including word-processing and spreadsheet analysis.
  • Detail-oriented and a problem-solver capable of handling complex situations.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with construction equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to land development.
