As a Laborer on our Traffic Control team, you will play a vital role in keeping construction zones safe for workers, drivers, and pedestrians. You will set up and manage traffic control devices, guide vehicles safely through work areas, and stay alert to changing conditions. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail help ensure everyone’s safety on site. Responsibilities

  • Set up and take down traffic control equipment including signs, cones, and barricades to safely guide vehicles around work zones
  • Direct traffic flow using hand signals or signs to keep drivers, pedestrians, and workers safe
  • Maintain constant communication with other flaggers and crew members using radios or hand signals to coordinate traffic movement
  • Monitor traffic and work zone conditions closely and make adjustments to traffic control as needed to maintain safety
  • Keep work areas safe and clean and report any hazards, accidents, or unsafe conditions right away
  • Follow all traffic safety rules and regulations set by local, state, and federal authorities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Flagger Certification (ATSSA, WSDOT, or state-recognized), or willingness to obtain certification before starting
  • Strong situational awareness and effective communication skills
  • Able to pass all pre-access requirements including drug and alcohol screen, background check, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Previous experience in traffic control or construction is preferred
  • CPR / First Aid certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) standards is an asset
  • Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
