This position provides laboratory support in the Medical Department and primarily performs various lab tests, such as blood counts, sodium and potassium analysis, serum chemistries, urinalysis, and a number of other procedures. Performs control-value testing on equipment, updates charts and records, schedules appointments, and maintains documentation in appropriate logs and files. Provides orientation to medical staff and inmates and maintains adequate and appropriate lab supplies. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period.
