About the position

The Laboratory Analyst II, Chromatography is responsible for preparing and analyzing a wide variety of client samples using various chromatographic techniques and instruments. This position requires flexibility to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing samples, standard reference materials, reagents, and/or solutions.
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Performing and documenting routine maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.
  • Documenting/recording raw data and results of analyses.
  • Executing analytical procedures in accordance with the appropriate regulations.
  • Basic method development, such as deciding oven temperature, oven ramp rate, gas flow, column type, and other similar GC method parameters.
  • Follow the guidelines set forth with the company Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Follows the guidelines set forth in the company Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan.
  • Adhere to the requirements of the company Quality System.
  • Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology or closely related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a chromatography laboratory position.
  • Knowledge of chromatography principles, theories, and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience with a chromatographic technique such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ion Chromatography (IC), Gas Chromatography (GC), or GC/MS.
  • Good critical thinker and problem solver.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, technical writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and interpret mathematical relationships.
  • Willingness to learn in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a group.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, high level of engagement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a GLP/cGMP and ISO regulated environment.

Benefits

  • Compensation range of $21 - $22.89 per hour.
