Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for laboring mothers and newborns.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote and optimize health, prevent illness, and alleviate suffering.
- Exhibit knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, and safety criteria.
- Participate in Shared Governance and contribute to nursing practice improvements through communication and feedback.
- Consider safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in nursing service delivery.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
