Who are we looking for? Our office in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a Lab Technician/Scientist to provide support to our team of senior Chemists and Scientists. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Conducting simple wet chemistry tests on environmental samples Performing organic solvent extractions on groundwater and soil Assisting in the setup of treatability studies Assisting office staff in related work tasks and local field sampling programs as needed (training provided) Assist in the general maintenance of the laboratory
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related field
- Experience and aptitude for working in a lab environment through employment or school
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good written English skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Good problem solving, analytical, and arithmetic skills
- Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and proven time management skills
- Self-starter, flexible, team player, willing & able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
