About the position

The Lab Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including the use of ChemDraw for creating chemical structures, managing chemical inventory, and collaborating with research teams. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and laboratory budgets.

Responsibilities

• Use ChemDraw or other chemical drawing software to create detailed chemical structures of chemical compounds.
• Input chemical structures into appropriate chemical registration systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Update and maintain chemical inventory systems to track and store all chemicals.
• Collaborate with research and development teams to support ongoing projects and experiments.
• Manage laboratory budgets, including purchasing reagents, supplies, and equipment.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory activities and safety protocols.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience with chemistry and chemical registration systems.
• Familiarity with SMILEs, HELMs notations, and Mol objects.
• Experience with chemical inventory management and registration systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with detailed electronic notebooking.
• Proficient in the use of ChemDraw.
