About the position

As a Lab Assistant at Mammoth Distribution, you will play a crucial role in supporting the laboratory team to maintain quality control and assurance processes in cannabis production. Your responsibilities will include preparing and processing samples, maintaining laboratory records, and ensuring a clean and safe lab environment, all of which are vital for producing exceptional cannabis products consistently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the intake and verification of weights for incoming oils and concentrates
• Help with sample preparation according to standard operating procedures
• Assist in straining (flavoring) distillate and blending large batches of oils when requested
• Help with the infusion of cannabis products into carrier oils as needed
• Support R&D requests from the product team
• Regularly clean lab tools and utensils
• Assist in reclaiming ethanol using a rotary evaporator
• Participate in R&D projects and experiments to gain a better understanding of products
• Assist in collecting and packaging products for shipment to co-packers or partners
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements when handling cannabis products

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline is preferred
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or Google Form applications
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment relevant to the specific industry or field (e.g., cannabis testing, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology) is a plus
• Basic understanding of cannabis extracts is a plus
