About the position

The Kubernetes Engineer position is a temporary contract role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes-based infrastructure solutions. The role requires a highly skilled individual to optimize multiple Kubernetes environments, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the US and possess at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including resource provisioning, configuration management, and security best practices.
• Analyze and optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
• Diagnose and resolve Kubernetes-related issues, including network connectivity, storage, and application failures.
• Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline Kubernetes operations and reduce manual tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including pods, services, deployments, stateful sets, and storage.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and configuration management.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their Kubernetes offerings.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKS, CKAD)
• Experience with Kubernetes-based orchestration tools (e.g., Helm)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Contributions to open-source Kubernetes projects
• Experience with Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus
• Experience with Ansible and/or Terraform
