About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Lead to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced cafeteria environment. This role is responsible for leading kitchen service, maintaining food quality and safety standards, supporting team development, and helping ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who works well with the team and can maintain organization, consistency, and positive leadership during service.

Requirements

• 2+ years kitchen experience preferred
• Leadership or Lead Cook experience considered an asset
• High-volume kitchen experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Food Safety certification preferred
• Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability including weekends and seasonal business demands

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily kitchen operations
• Oversee food preparation and service execution
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Support and train kitchen staff
• Monitor food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with inventory and ordering
• Support prep planning and station organization
• Help manage service flow during busy periods
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Communicate effectively with management and team members
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Support kitchen performance and team accountability
