About the position

The classroom teacher is responsible for establishing standards of expected student progress in each area of study and for developing techniques for assessment of that progress. This role requires complete classroom control and the ability to develop a suitable learning environment. The teacher will also supervise materials, volunteers, and para-professionals, and maintain accurate record keeping. Additionally, this person will be expected to contribute to the development and achievement of District goals and school programs through active participation on teacher and parent committees, offering leadership in school and professional activities, and maintaining effective, ethical, interpersonal relationships.
