About the position
The Key Holder is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store and enhancing the overall customer experience. This role involves demonstrating leadership by modeling Goodwill NYNJ CARE service standards, training and coaching associates, and executing operational functions in the absence of the Store Manager. The Key Holder plays a crucial role in driving sales performance and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer experience.
- Model Goodwill NYNJ CARE service standards to elevate sales performance.
- Train and coach associates to meet expectations.
- Manage customer flow to ensure engagement and satisfaction.
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently and respectfully.
- Communicate product needs to the stock team for efficient product flow.
- Ensure the selling floor is organized and visually appealing.
- Enforce company policies and procedures among the team.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year experience in retail store supervisory required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and relevant experience required.
- Proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to adapt to and engage with different customers.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
