About the position

The Key Holder position at Boot Barn is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service and leadership within the store. Key Holders engage with customers, support store partners, and help drive sales while embodying the company's mission and values. This role involves maintaining merchandising standards, processing transactions, and assisting with operational procedures to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Foster a service and selling culture to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Become an expert in product categories and communicate product knowledge to customers.
• Maintain and achieve measurable sales goals, including units per transaction and average dollar per transaction.
• Stay informed about current merchandise promotions and advertisements.
• Assist with merchandising standards, display maintenance, and store housekeeping.
• Process merchandise and monitor floor stock replenishment.
• Accurately complete all sales transactions and maintain cash accountability at POS registers.
• Seek new ways to develop skills and improve metrics in partnership with store leadership.
• Complete all opening and closing procedures to company standards.
• Adhere to and enforce all local, federal, and state laws, as well as company policies.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of retail sales experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, time management, and organization skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
• Up to 10% travel to support local stores as needed.
