About the position

The Key Account Manager for Tirlán will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key customers in the Americas, focusing on B2B ingredients, particularly the Truly Grass Fed brand. This role involves executing regional market strategies, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with customers at all levels including influencers, decision makers, and C-Suite levels.
  • Engage with current and new customers to understand their business needs and communicate how Tirlán can support their growth.
  • Work closely with brand owners to create branded propositions based on Tirlán ingredients and sustainability credentials.
  • Coordinate customer visits to ensure a positive experience and foster an environment of growth and innovation.
  • Attend trade events and conferences to develop new business and strengthen existing partnerships.
  • Interpret technical product information and research data for customers with varying levels of expertise.
  • Evaluate market conditions and analyze prospects for business and future trends.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to develop distribution channel plans.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans with Tirlán's leadership, including pricing and contract negotiations.
  • Document customer complaints and requests through the ERP system.
  • Provide sales activity reports and update customer forecasts regularly.
  • Facilitate communication among various departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with customers and foster long-term relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills in all forms.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and ability to analyze business trends.
  • Understanding of the Dairy Industry, including products, pricing, and competitors.
  • Familiarity with tariffs and regulatory requirements for food production from Ireland to North America.
  • Ability to manage corporate and customer confidential information.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time, primarily in North America.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information and deliver presentations.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and resourceful.
  • Dynamic and flexible approach to work with various customer types.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively across departments.
