About the position
The Corbin Area Technology Center is looking for an experienced, hard-working, dedicated person to help students in Corbin reach their career goal in the area of Engineering. Pathway content includes problem solving, design, robotics, CAD and the utilization of physical & virtual modeling taught in a project-based environment. This is a new position at the Corbin ATC and it is very exciting and rewarding to see students in grades 9-12 further their education and complete this career path. The Kentucky Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education, Corbin Area Technology in Corbin, KY has an opening for an Engineering Instructor.
Responsibilities
- Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;
- Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;
- Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
- Applicants must have at least 4 years of industrial occupational experience, technical education or a teaching certificate in Secondary Science, Mathematics, Technology, or STEM.
Nice-to-haves
- Teaching certifications or industrial experience/technical education in CAD, Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Engineering are preferred.

- Salary: $49,229.00 Annually
