About the position
The position is for a Special Education Paraprofessional in a Kansas City school district for the 2024-2025 school year. The role involves supporting students with special needs and requires a background in special education along with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) license. The position is full-time, with a commitment to work Monday through Friday for 35 hours per week until May 23, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Support students with special needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and behavior plans.
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
- Collaborate with the clinical advisory team for guidance and support.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Behavior Specialist.
- Completion of 48 semester hours of college coursework.
- Possession of a valid RBT License in Missouri.
- Background in special education.
