Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, process visitors, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting security-related activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, corridors, and perimeter areas as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Maintain detailed logs, reports, and records related to arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other security-related access control activities.
