The Felician Sisters of North America are hiring a part-time Justice and Peace Coordinator Associate to work in our Chicago (60659 area near Lincolnwood and North Park neighborhoods) location. This position will average 20 -29 hours per week and offers a flexible hybrid setting after the initial training/orientation onsite. The Felician Sisters of North America are part of a joyful international community of vowed women religious who lead contemplative-active lives of service. Pioneers in health care, education and social services, the Felician Sisters of North America have founded, sponsor, co-sponsor, or support through the presence of the sisters, more than 40 ministries across the continent. Following the example of our foundress, Blessed Mary Angela, Felician Sisters stand with and advocate for those without a voice in our society — the marginalized, the oppressed, and the vulnerable — working to restore human dignity and rights to all of God’s people. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Justice and Peace Coordinator Associate works alongside the Provincial Justice and Peace Coordinator providing leadership and direction to the justice work of the Felician Sisters of North America as conveyed in their Corporate Stands, the Mission and Vision of the Congregation, and further delineated in Chapter Enactments. Corporate Stands include but are not limited to: Current justice issues such as human trafficking, death penalty, homelessness, immigration and gun violence.
