About the position

The Junior Tax Solutions Advisor at Uplinq is responsible for leveraging tax strategy and accounting knowledge to assist small to midsize businesses. This role involves finalizing financials for clients, collaborating with the Tax, Bookkeeping, and Onboarding teams, and identifying upsell opportunities through effective tax strategies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of tax operations and ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financials for errors and rectify them to increase bookkeeping throughput.
• Train and mentor bookkeeping staff on necessary changes for better tax financials.
• Work with the Onboarding team to improve the transition from bookkeeping to tax onboarding.
• Review tax returns for proper setup and adjustments to create accurate financials for tax purposes.
• Implement upsell strategies during onboarding to add value for clients.
• Monitor compliance with changing tax laws and advise clients on necessary adjustments.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing ongoing support and advice on tax matters.
• Analyze the effectiveness of implemented tax strategies and provide insights for optimization.

Requirements

• Active EA or CPA certification is required.
• 5+ years of tax and public accounting experience.
• Strong background in tax strategy and accounting knowledge.
