About The Position

Dominion Dynamics is seeking a driven, curious, and resourceful Junior Recruiter to help build one of Canada’s most ambitious defence technology companies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving difficult hiring problems, moves quickly, communicates well, and thrives in fast-paced environments without heavy structure. The Junior Recruiter will support hiring across technical, operational, and business functions, and will also help build Dominion’s intern and early talent programs. This role is focused on proactively finding exceptional people and contributing to a world-class talent engine, rather than just posting jobs and waiting for applicants.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of recruiting, coordination, research, campus recruitment, or people-facing experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts quickly.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced and changing environments.
  • Strong ownership mentality and attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset.
  • Interest in technology, engineering, aerospace, robotics, AI, or defence.
  • Comfortable using AI tools and modern recruiting workflows.
  • Mission-driven mindset and excitement about building meaningful technology.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
  • No defence background required.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting across engineering, hardware, aerospace, manufacturing, software, operations, and business hiring.
  • Help lead intern, co-op, and early talent recruiting initiatives, including university outreach, pipeline building, and candidate engagement.
  • Build proactive talent pipelines instead of relying only on inbound applicants.
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, networking, referrals, research, technical communities, and creative outreach strategies.
  • Conduct candidate outreach and initial screening conversations.
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain strong communication with candidates and hiring teams.
  • Support recruiting operations, systems, and AI-enabled recruiting workflows.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders throughout the hiring process.
  • Learn technical recruiting fundamentals from experienced recruiters and leadership.
  • Help deliver a strong candidate experience while operating with urgency.
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-moving startup environment with evolving priorities.
