About the position
The Junior Cybersecurity Architect will play a crucial role in leading information security reviews of new technologies and designs, as well as planning remediation efforts. This position involves collaboration with Engineering and Operations Teams to address security vulnerabilities and implementing security improvements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in threat identification and modeling, as well as expertise in various facets of network and information security.
Responsibilities
- Lead information security review of new technologies and designs.
- Collaborate with Engineering & Operations Teams to address security vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and identify security needs and recommend plans/resolutions.
- Implement, test, and monitor information security improvements.
- Analyze underlying technologies for threat identification and modeling.
- Create technical specifications and requirements independently.
- Present advanced concepts to leadership and peers.
Requirements
- Significant experience with threat modeling approaches such as STRIDE, PASTA, TRIKE, ATTACK TREE, DREAD, KILL CHAIN, CAPEC.
- Subject matter expert in network & information security, including Firewall policy design and SSL Certificate management.
- Advanced understanding of IP/Security solutions applicable to Wireless Network Architecture.
- Ability to adapt to new or evolving technologies related to products and services.
- Strong verbal and communication skills with diverse cross-functional groups.
- Knowledge of federal & compliance regulations e.g. SOX, PCI & CPNI.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with mobile applications and handset security.
- Working knowledge of web application development and RESTful APIs.
- Skills in Java, frameworks, Python, Node.js.
- Advanced knowledge of scripting tools such as Python, Perl, Shell, HTML, PHP.
