About the position

The Journeyman Network Engineer will support tasks that involve engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis, installation, integration, fielding and field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of hardware and software. The role includes performing system-level design and configuration of network systems, determining hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications to meet project requirements while maintaining interoperability with existing sponsor networks. The engineer will plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and trade and cost studies, and perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature, concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, and troubleshoot unique or complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis.
  • Install, integrate, field, and analyze hardware and software.
  • Perform system-level design and configuration of network systems.
  • Determine hardware, operating system, and platform specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and trade and cost studies.
  • Perform systems engineering tasks related to major systems design, integration, and implementation.
  • Troubleshoot unique or complex problems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting national cyber missions in either offensive or defensive capacities.
  • 2+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • Experience with leading teams to address complex projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree.
