The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for the position of John E. Pippin Chair Professor and Director of the Center for Distributed Energy (CDE), a center that has been created with support from the Georgia Research Alliance. The School seeks a visionary leader in the core area of power electronics converters, materials, devices and controls, with a strong focus on energy transition topics including, but not limited to: grid-connected inverters, architecture and control of decentralized grids and microgrids, grid-edge resiliency, energy storage, and electrification of transportation and other industry sectors. The School seeks candidates at the level of full professor, with an outstanding research achievement record, strong interest in innovative undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as demonstrated experience in translating their research into commercial applications.
