About the position

BLADE is looking for a seasoned, driven 'private aviation' professional (who is currently based in North America) to join our sales team. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience selling to private jet charter clients. The compensation is a blend of a base salary and commissions on gross profit. The primary role of the Jet Charter Sales Director is growing our jet charter sales revenue. This is accomplished by sourcing aircraft and providing prices for requested trips as well as ancillary services (ground connections, catering, etc.) and providing creative and effective solutions which align customer needs with company resources. You will maintain a high level of product knowledge of all company products and services, possess excellent negotiation and prospecting skills as well as the ability to demonstrate an overall high motivation for selling, and customer service. You must be well-organized, self-motivated, outgoing, and must be able to handle the complete sales cycle, beginning with the initial opportunity, qualifying potential clients, sourcing aircraft availability, pricing, payment, and confirmation process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with your network of charter clients to successfully introduce them to Blade's services.
  • Pro-actively targeting your list through outbound sales calls, emails and visits (both face-to-face and virtual) and converting them from potential clients to Blade Clients.
  • Lead generation calls to identify new potential Clients.
  • Respond to charter pricing requests with accurate pricing in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and build relationships with charter operators and high-net-worth private clients (to generate new business).
  • Working closely with flier relations, flier experience, flight operations, and corporate leadership to ensure flights are executed at the highest level of service and communications throughout.
  • Work with our Ground Connect team on catering and ground transportation services.
  • Accessible by phone outside of office hours, as needed, in a dynamic, on-demand industry.
  • Manage charter bookings from enquiry to completion.
  • Identify and generate new business leads.
  • Pro-actively target a list of Clients through outbound calls, emails and meetings.
  • Source and negotiate with aircraft operators to secure optimal charter solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Clients to ensure recurring business.
  • Exceed both sales activity and financial targets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Jet Charter Broker (a minimum of 5+ years of actual jet charter sales experience).
  • Recent history of selling trips that (annually) total in the millions of dollars (a must).
  • In-depth knowledge of private aviation and charter operations.
  • Ability to independently identify likely sales leads.
  • Proven track record of creating domestic and international air charter solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Sharp and effective communication skills via phone, email and in person.
  • Reap enjoyment from advancing towards goals and objectives in a competitive environment.
  • Has a good balance between independent and team-oriented work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Established relationships with Part 135 Fixed-wing operators.
  • Existing book of clients is highly preferential.
