About the position
The Java Fullstack Developer with Angular position is a long-term contract role based in NYC, NY, designed for local candidates. The role requires extensive experience in software development, particularly in Java and Angular, to design and implement complex distributed systems. The developer will work in a hybrid environment, contributing to both front-end and back-end development tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement large, complex, distributed systems using Java.
- Develop web applications using JAVA / J2EE technologies, Hibernate, JPA, SpringBoot, and Microservices.
- Work with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular 6+.
- Develop and work with REST APIs using the Spring Boot framework.
- Engage in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on Java development.
- Proficient in developing web applications using JAVA / J2EE technologies, Hibernate, JPA, SpringBoot, and Microservices.
- Experience with front-end technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular 6+.
- Familiarity with Microservices based architecture and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of relational databases including Oracle and Mid-Tier to Database development principles.
- Ability to develop and work with REST APIs using Spring Boot framework.
- Proficiency in various phases of the system development life cycle including project planning, analysis, design, programming, and testing (JUnit, TestNG).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
