About the position
We are seeking a Java Developer to join our team in San Jose, CA. This position is fully onsite and is a contract role lasting for 3 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and will be responsible for building and maintaining Java libraries, as well as designing and implementing frameworks and platforms for new features and services. The role requires a deep understanding of cloud application stacks, performance optimizations, and security best practices. The developer will work closely with industry leaders to define future services and infrastructure, actively participate in code and design reviews, and collaborate with our parent team to promote containerization and CI/CD practices.
Responsibilities
- Build and Maintain Java libraries
- Employ deep knowledge of cloud application stack, performance and availability optimizations, and security best practices
- Design and build frameworks and platforms for development of new features and services
- Write high-performance, reliable, maintainable code
- Drive the design and implementation of service architecture in a cloud environment
- Ensure strong security and compliance practices in data handling and distribution
- Embrace a highly collaborative and effective team
- Work with industry leaders defining client's future services and infrastructure
- Actively participate in code and design reviews
- Collaborate closely with parent team promoting containerization, clusterization, and CI/CD
- Collectively create tools, processes, and workflows that connect and empower internal development teams.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java
- Experience with Springboot
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Golang
- Proficient in Bash scripting
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
