About the position
The Janitor position involves maintaining cleanliness and order in commercial buildings, including medical offices and other facilities. The role focuses on cleaning, disinfecting, and ensuring the safety of the environment for customers and staff. The janitor is expected to work part-time, primarily during the night shift, and must adhere to the cleaning standards set by Rangel Janitorial and its clients.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect surfaces
- Clean bathrooms and refill supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.)
- Dust and empty trash, taking it to the dumpster
- Vacuum and mop floors
- Log in to Swept upon arrival and log out upon departure
- Finish jobs in a timely manner
- Put forth best effort into each job
- Achieve Rangel Janitorial's and client's standards
- Safely use cleaning products provided
- Maintain safety of the building at all times (keeping doors locked, closing windows, etc.)
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a janitor
- Ability to follow directions and have respect for others
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- Punctual
- Able to lift 25lbs
