We have an exciting opportunity for an IT System Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting end users via requests (tickets and verbal)
  • Running new cables
  • Installing servers and UPS's into racks
  • Configuring or repairing new laptops and desktops; maintaining workstations and network performance
  • Support, install or troubleshoot operating systems and applications
  • Backing up Installing data
  • Swapping out hardware such as hard drives
  • Perform research, other troubleshooting
  • Setting up new employee workstations
  • Preparing purchase requisitions and ordering new equipment and parts
  • Keeping track of inventory
  • Active Directory password resets, additions/updates, facility security
  • Configuring VOIP phones
  • Process documentation
  • Knowledge sharing/process overview with colleagues
  • Follow through skills; communicate status to customers
  • Ability to learn from senior level Systems Admins
  • Other related duties and tasks assigned

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED or Associates degree
  • (Level I) 1-2+ years' experience in computer hardware repair and helpdesk support. Attained or working towards CompTIA Security+ certificate. Must obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • (Level II) 3+ years' experience/ Possess CompTIA Security+ Cert or attain within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of Apple and Windows machines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in software installation.
  • Attention to detail; organizational skills
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service skills; strong interpersonal skills.
