About The Position
This is an entry-level IT Support Technician I role, part of the IT Career Launchpad program at Robinson Tech. The company is a values-driven IT managed service provider serving Tri-Cities businesses since 2006, built on core values of Health, Relationships, Curiosity, and Gratitude. This role is ideal for someone starting their technology career, with no prior IT background required, but a need for curiosity, a great attitude, and the drive to learn. The position involves helping clients solve everyday tech problems and offers a documented growth path from Tier 1 to Tier 2 and beyond. Robinson Tech invests in individuals who invest in themselves.
Requirements
- A genuine desire to learn and grow in technology
- Comfortable around computers and curious about how things work
- Friendly, patient, and great with people
- Reliable, organized, and follows through
- Coachable — takes feedback and runs with it
- No IT experience or certifications required.
Nice To Haves
- CompTIA A+ or IT Fundamentals is a plus
Responsibilities
- Help clients with everyday IT issues — password resets, software, basic troubleshooting
- Set up and support computers, printers, and devices
- Document your work clearly so the whole team stays in sync
- Learn our monitoring, backup, and ticketing systems
- Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional way
- Know when and how to escalate bigger issues
