About the position

Miller Network Innovations LLC is seeking an entry-level Field Service Support technician to provide Level 1 technical support to educational facilities in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves both on-site and remote work, focusing on desktop, mobile device, and AV equipment support. The position is temporary with the potential for a full-time hire based on performance and need, aligning with the school system's operating hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assist client customers with technical issues using proper escalation and familiarity with a ticket-based system.
  • Assist end users with trouble tickets in a timely manner following SLAs.
  • Administer Google G-Suite, including new user creation, password resets, and Chromebook/ChromeOS troubleshooting.
  • Perform computer repairs for hardware, software troubleshooting, and endpoint security.
  • Troubleshoot AV equipment such as projectors, audio equipment, and smartboards.
  • Install data cables as required.
  • Install and troubleshoot Access Control systems and IP Cameras.

Requirements

  • Good customer service, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server 2019 preferred.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
  • Basic experience with VPNs, VLANs, and subnetting is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently following a ticket system.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and climb stairs or ladders required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check required.
  • Completed Associate's degree in Information Technology.
  • 1 year of experience in an IT help desk, system administration, or network technician role preferred.

  • Recent graduates may submit college transcript or internship records in lieu of real-world experience.
