About the position

The IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) will serve as a technical authority responsible for the design, development, documentation, modification, testing, implementation, and support of cloud computing capabilities within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This role involves ensuring compliance with federal regulations and providing innovative IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical authority on cloud computing capabilities for operations and development.
  • Ensure compliance of IT cloud-based projects with NWS, NOAA, DOC, and federal regulations.
  • Provide authoritative advice and recommendations on IT cloud-based solutions.
  • Optimize customer and agency experience through innovative infrastructure technology.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience diagnosing IT cloud-based hardware and software faults.
  • Experience developing and analyzing project management performance measurements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud computing technologies and solutions.
  • Familiarity with federal IT regulations and compliance standards.
