About the position

The IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) position at the Department of Veterans Affairs focuses on developing enterprise-level product solution architecture and technical design to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office. The role involves collaborating with IT experts and functional users to ensure alignment with VA's strategic goals, managing information technology integration, and providing recommendations to leadership on system engineering issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop enterprise, strategic, tactical, and project-level product solution architecture using DoD Architecture Framework or Unified Architecture Framework.
  • Research, test, and plan for the integration of new information technologies.
  • Formulate long- and short-term information management plans and analyze plans, policies, and programs to determine requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT technical experts and functional users to support leadership decision-making.
  • Keep leadership informed of technical or system engineering issues related to IT product architecture and design.
  • Review directives, policies, and acquisition strategies for program-related issues.
  • Accomplish long- and short-range IT projects, including transitional architecture and system modifications.

Requirements

  • Experience in IT-related fields, demonstrated through paid or unpaid experience or intensive training.
