About the position

The IT Specialist (Sysanalysis) position within the Department of Defense involves reviewing IT programs for compliance with established plans and policies, modifying these plans in response to business and regulatory changes, and developing business process models. The role focuses on improving enterprise-level systems to support business processes and advising on information engineering and automation improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Review IT programs to assess compliance with IT plans and policies.
  • Modify IT plans and policies based on changes in business requirements or regulations.
  • Develop business process models for the enterprise and maintain information in the IT repository.
  • Identify opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes.
  • Advise on information engineering and business process improvement related to automation.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience reviewing IT programs for compliance with IT plans and policies.
  • Experience with business tools such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Working knowledge of ERP data structures and experience leveraging data for financial management initiatives.
