About the position

The IT Specialist (SysAdmin/Network) will serve as the System/Network Administrator for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) at the Department of the Navy's NAVFAC Engineering Command SE. This role involves the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in support of Operational Technology/Information Technology (OT/IT) programs. The position requires providing advice on IT/OT system administration and interpreting IT/OT policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Provide advice and recommendations on IT/OT system administration.
• Interpret and apply IT/OT policies, processes, and guidelines.
• Conduct systems and applications analysis/design and recommend resolutions to problems and issues.
• Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and operational problems.
• Perform the functions of a System Administrator, Network Administrator, and Information Systems Security Engineer.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Experience administering the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in an OT/ICS environment.
• Experience managing accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
• Experience resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
• Experience managing the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements.
• Experience performing system administration to troubleshoot and determine solutions for installed operating systems.
