About the position

The IT Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership in information technology to enhance service quality and reduce costs across multi-site and multi-state operations. This role involves planning, managing, and coordinating IT strategies, ensuring the effective implementation of new technologies, and maintaining cybersecurity protocols. The IT Manager will also oversee the IT budget, manage staff, and ensure that all technology-related needs of the company are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, manages, evaluates, administers, and coordinates the company’s strategic and tactical information technology plans.
  • Updates and modifies information management standards, policies, and guidelines as necessary.
  • Designs and develops comprehensive IT plans covering hardware, software, network data, and other dimensions.
  • Leverages AI and data analytics resources to achieve company goals.
  • Develops and ensures adoption of policies and SOPs for cybersecurity and IP protection.
  • Researches and implements new technologies within the IT infrastructure.
  • Maintains currency with the latest technology trends and products.
  • Plans and oversees all major system upgrades.
  • Manages computer system support activities.
  • Develops, tests, and maintains disaster and cybersecurity recovery plans for IT systems.
  • Prepares required reports and correspondence.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors the department budget, managing expenses within approved constraints.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, and motivates IT staff and third-party vendors.
  • Assigns duties and monitors the quality of work to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Manages all company hardware, software, and electronic devices.
  • Ensures new and existing employees are set up with IT-related equipment and manages upgrades as needed.
  • Identifies problem areas and takes corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Four to six years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of advanced principles of information technology architecture and strategic planning.
  • Ability to manage IT for multi-site, multi-state operations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
  • Possess at least one IT certification such as CompTIA A+ or similar.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft products.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of various teams.
  • Acute attention to detail.
