About the position

The position of IT Field Operations Technician will support the launch and day to day operation of the Micro Market business from a technical standpoint. This position will also support the sites that are live and in production. This role will report to branch leadership and the project support team. Service Support Area: NEGA - Athens, GA area.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record equipment information.
• Will work closely with clients and vendors.
• Negotiate network connections for all new accounts.
• Ensure all network connections are good in existing accounts.
• Responsible for maintaining cameras and DVR systems in all markets.
• Will complete service calls for all market locations.
• Maintaining parts inventory.
• Responsible for warranty credit of parts and returns.
• Collecting of video files for loss prevention.
• Support of handheld devices used for inventory management.
• Performing surveys with management of new accounts for layout.
• Will also give support to Corporate IT infrastructure team (Will occasionally travel).
• Monitoring the connectivity of active sites.

Requirements

• Certification in one or more of the following preferred; MCP, A+, or Network +.
• Proven ability to be self-managed, self-motivated ('thinking outside the box' and retain 'lessons learned').
• Project management skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Knowledge of vending business helpful.
• Customer service experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Knowledge of cabling (Cat5 / 6, BNC, etc.).
• Must be able to lift 35lbs+; on a repetitive basis and have the ability to reach, bend, stoop on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to consent to an initial drug screen.
• Must be able to consent to a background check.
