About the position

The IOP Coordinator at Square Medical Group is a full-time hybrid role focused on overseeing the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). The position involves providing clinical services, mentorship, and supervision to graduate-level clinicians and interns, while also ensuring the effective operation of outpatient services. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and will have opportunities for professional growth in various therapeutic approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Lead Clinician for Virtual Morning IOP.
  • Provide administrative support to Weymouth and Woburn IOP/PHP.
  • Provide limited clinical services through individual and group therapy.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Director to support Outpatient Services.
  • Monitor and maintain spreadsheets and data reports for IOP and PHP programs.
  • Complete and monitor Insurance authorizations for IOP/PHP programs in collaboration with Lead Clinicians.
  • Ensure timely processing of referrals to IOP/PHP programs in collaboration with Call Center.
  • Host virtual Morning IOP group online and enter group notes as needed.
  • Add/remove clients to patient group upon enrollment/discharge in collaboration with lead clinicians.
  • Maintain Client Schedules in collaboration with IOP/PHP Lead Clinicians.
  • Conduct intakes as needed.
  • Provide crisis management for clients in collaboration with treatment team.
  • Interact with referral sources and other external providers to ensure coordination of client services in collaboration with lead clinicians.
  • Monitor Intake tracking sheet.
  • Maintain Intake calendar in collaboration with Clinical Director.
  • Revise and distribute Group Norms as needed.
  • Train and provide supervision of interns and staff in collaboration with Clinical Director.
  • Host weekly IOP staff meetings.
  • Maintain updated Staff schedule/contact info for IOP/PHP staff.
  • Plan and implement training presentations for staff and interns in collaboration with Clinical Director.
  • Participate in continuing education activities and in-service training programs.
  • Attend meetings as directed and meet with supervisor for supervision and clinical reviews.
  • Monitor caseload for compliance with third-party payers, including chart reviews and authorizations.
  • Provide timely documentation of all services in accordance with SMG standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Independent license (LMHC, LICSW) preferred with ability to supervise interns and staff.
  • Experience with third-party insurance authorizations, quality and concurrent reviews, and utilization management.
  • Familiarity with Harm Reduction, Trauma Informed Care, and Group Treatment.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a professional team.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.
