About the position

The Investment Portfolio Manager at Regions Bank is responsible for managing a portfolio of either Private Wealth or Institutional Clients. This role involves developing investment objectives, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring effective communication with clients and partners. The manager will also address risk-related items, execute the Regions Client Experience, and participate in the sales process to identify new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a book of either Private Wealth or Institutional Clients by serving as the Portfolio Manager
  • Works with clients and multiple partners to develop investment objectives and goals through discussion and identification of client priorities
  • Implements and communicates investment-related changes based on Investment Working Group guidelines
  • Effectively implements Portfolio Management Group Strategic Initiatives and may provide input
  • Leverages resources to maintain and increase efficiency to focus on clients at an effective level
  • Addresses and responds to all risk-related items in a timely fashion
  • Executes the Regions Client Experience at an advanced level
  • Initiates and monitors required actions related to modeling and trading of client accounts
  • Builds relationships to retain and grow revenue from existing client relationships
  • Participates and may lead the sales process with partners and teammates to identify and solidify new business opportunities
  • Keeps abreast of trends and developments in the economy and markets to ensure effective communication to clients and partners
  • Participates in and may lead group projects as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or International Equivalent
  • Five (5) years applicable knowledge or experience in investment/portfolio management, brokerage, finance, or equivalent

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics
  • Technical Training in financial and economic markets
  • Progress towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA)
